USED Hofner / HCT-500/1-SB Contemporary Series [2.88 kg]

The Hefner HCT-500/1 violin bass features a center-block construction based on German-made pickups and the traditional 500/1 violin bass.

Commonly known as the “Beetle Bass,” this widely beloved model features a striking appearance and unique controls, with a spruce top, flamed maple sides and back, a maple neck, a rosewood fingerboard, and a 30-inch (76.2 cm) short scale.

It produces a soft, punchy sound characteristic of a lightweight hollow-body instrument and is recommended for players with smaller hands or beginners.

Although there are some signs of use (scratches, wipe marks, etc.), it is in good condition.

It was set up (cleaned, truss rod adjusted, octave adjusted, and string height adjusted) upon arrival; the frets are at a height that poses no problem for playing, and the truss rod can be adjusted both clockwise and counterclockwise, with operation confirmed up to ±60°.
