USED Fender USA / American Standard Telecaster with Maple Fingerboard, Black [3.58 kg / Manufactured in 1991]

A Fender USA American Standard Telecaster, manufactured in 1991.

Following the “Standard” series that began in 1983, the “American Standard” series was released for many years starting in 1986. This guitar features an alder body, a maple neck with a Bi-Flex truss rod, a 9.5R fingerboard, 6-way saddles, and a modern-style finish.

The pickups have been replaced with Fender Custom Shop models (the bridge pickup appears to be a staggered Texas Special type), the TBX control has been changed to a standard Tone control, and it now features two of the more recent dome-shaped knobs.

The nut has been replaced, and the frets have been refretted. Signs of use are visible (including discoloration, minor scratches and scuffs along the outer edges, scuffs and wipe marks, picking marks, buckle marks, paint peeling and darkening on the fingerboard surface and edges, tool marks around the truss rod adjustment hole, and tarnish, pitting, and rust on metal parts and screws, etc.).

It was set up upon arrival (cleaning, string replacement, truss rod adjustment, octave adjustment, string height adjustment, and fret leveling). The fret heights are at a level suitable for playing, and the truss rod has been tested up to 60° in both directions and is in good working order.
