USED YAMAHA / BSD1465N Custom Model Birch Vintage Natural 14x6.5 Yamaha Snare Drum [08]

This is an extremely rare model from the era when it was manufactured in Japan.
A custom model with the same specifications as the second-generation John Robinson model BSD1465NJR, which was available around 2010.
It appears to be a limited-edition item (or so it was said) created using leftover shells when the John Robinson model was discontinued.
It features a birch 6-ply shell with a bird’s-eye maple outer layer, 20 copper pins embedded in the batter head, a 60-degree batter edge, and a 35-degree bottom edge—making it a snare with specifications that are quite unique even among Yamaha snares.
This model offers a rich, full-bodied sound characteristic of birch, combined with a pleasant attack created by the copper pins.

Although there are minor scratches, some dirt, and marker scribbles on the inside of the shell, it’s in excellent condition and doesn’t look overused.
It’s in a condition where you can still use it with confidence—a highly rare snare drum from the era when Yamaha was manufacturing in Japan.
