USED Gibson USA / SG Special Ebony Fingerboard Ebony [3.05 kg / Manufactured in 1993]

This 1993 Gibson SG Special features an ebony fingerboard, a neck with dot position marks and no binding, and open-type pickups.

It features a mahogany body and neck, an ebony fingerboard, a large pickguard, 490R and 490T pickups, and a Nashville TOM bridge with a stop tailpiece.

Featuring an ebony fingerboard—a hallmark of this era—this SG Special boasts hardware specifications identical to those of the SG Standard from the same period, with the only differences being the presence or absence of neck binding, position marks, and pickup covers. Its lightweight design and excellent playability are also major attractions.

The tuning pegs, nut, frets, and strap pin screws have been replaced. There are signs of wear (including impact marks, small scratches, and scuff marks around the headstock and along the body’s outer edges; paint unevenness on the sides of the fingerboard; scuffs, playing lines, picking marks, buckle marks; a crack in the screw section of the truss rod cover; and tarnish, pitting, and rust on metal parts and screws, among other cosmetic damage).

Set up upon arrival (cleaning, string replacement, truss rod adjustment, octave adjustment, action adjustment, leveling, and nut slot adjustment). The frets are at a height suitable for playing, and the truss rod can be adjusted in both tightening and loosening directions; operation has been confirmed up to ±60°.
