The CE-1 was released by BOSS in 1976 as its first product and the world’s first chorus pedal.
It condenses the chorus/vibrato circuitry found in the JC-120 into a pedal-sized unit and has been beloved by countless guitarists to this day.
The CE-1 is also globally acclaimed as a preamp capable of producing a distinctive, rich, and powerful sound. It has such a dedicated following that many pedals based on this model have been released. This is a rare unit that comes complete with its original box and manual.

There are traces on the upper side of the unit where masking tape was likely once applied.
While it shows general signs of wear appropriate for its age, it functions perfectly.
