Based on the WY series—developed in collaboration with Bob Weir of the Grateful Dead—this Japanese-made electro-acoustic guitar features a koa wood top, sides, and back. The beautiful wood grain and abalone inlays that adorn the distinctive cutaway body highlight the meticulous craftsmanship unique to K.Yairi.
Featuring a mahogany neck with an ebony fingerboard, combined with a 635mm scale length and a 42mm nut width, this guitar offers an easy-to-play design that allows for effortless access to every fret. The proprietary Direct Coupled Bridge efficiently transmits string vibrations to the body, producing the clear attack, tight midrange, and well-defined resonance characteristic of koa wood.It also features an onboard preamp, allowing you to produce a well-defined acoustic sound for both stage performances and recording.
While there are signs of wear consistent with its age—including picking marks on the top—the guitar has been cleaned and set up and is in pristine condition.
