A 2025 Gibson Hummingbird Special Left-Handed Satin Vintage Cherry Sunburst has arrived!
Carrying on the Hummingbird tradition—beloved by players since its debut in 1960—this U.S.-made model features a slightly thinner concert-depth body and a satin finish.
The square-shouldered body features a solid Sitka spruce top and solid mahogany sides and back, with traditional scalloped X-bracing. While retaining the warm, balanced tone characteristic of the Hummingbird, the thinner body compared to standard models delivers tight bass and a lively response.
The Yuri neck is joined to the body via a compound dovetail joint using hide glue, and features a rosewood fingerboard, a 24.75-inch scale, and a round neck profile. Combined with the easy-to-hold body, this design provides a comfortable playing experience even for left-handed players.
The Satin Vintage Cherry Sunburst nitrocellulose lacquer finish, combined with parallelogram inlays and a pickguard featuring a hummingbird design, faithfully carries on the Hummingbird’s signature glamorous look.
Equipped with the L.R. Baggs Element Bronze pickup system as standard, the volume control inside the soundhole allows for seamless performance in both live and recording settings.
