The 200 Series currently offers the widest variety of models in the Taylor Guitars lineup.
Ideal as a first guitar for beginners who will cherish it for years to come, or as an option for veteran players looking to expand their sonic palette, the 200 Series features a wide range of models combining various tonewoods and body shapes.

The model we’ve just received is a 2019 250ce, manufactured before the minor redesign.
It features a Dreadnought body with a Venetian cutaway, a solid spruce top, layered maple sides and back, and X-bracing.
The maple neck has a slim taper, making chord playing in the higher positions a breeze.
The clean, uncluttered tone of the maple body, combined with the beautiful harmonics of the secondary strings, allows you to enjoy the sparkling, expansive sound unique to 12-string guitars.
The familiar Expression System 2 (ES-2) is installed, and even when plugged in, it produces a very natural sound without the harsh high-end typical of piezo pickups.
The stylish look, with the body, hardware, and pickguard all unified in black, is another reason for this model’s popularity.

While there is some wear on the finish due to age, as well as very minor dents and scratches, the overall signs of use are minimal, and it is in excellent condition.
The neck is in good condition with no issues, and it is fully adjustable via truss rod.
Many of you are likely considering a 12-string guitar to expand your sound palette, but feel you can’t justify the expense since it won’t be your main instrument.
This 12-string guitar is highly recommended for such players—it’s affordably priced yet ready to perform immediately in the studio or on stage.
