The Tribute Series 5-string model carries on Leo Fender's high-performance bass design from his later years with modern production capabilities.
This versatile active bass, representing G&L, combines diverse sound-shaping capabilities with overwhelming output. Designed by Leo Fender, also known as the founder of Fender, it embodies the philosophy of the L Series—developed based on his experience at Fender Musical Instruments Corporation in his later years—now accessible at an affordable price point.
It features two high-output, wide-bandwidth MFD humbucker pickups. Furthermore, G&L's unique Tri-Tone circuit enables extremely versatile sound shaping by combining active/passive switching, series/parallel switching, and pickup selection. It allows free control over deep, powerful lows, clear mids, and sharp attack, making it suitable for any genre.
The TREBLE knob (center) was malfunctioning and has been replaced with a different pot.
Replaced with locking pins; locking parts are missing.
Minor impact marks are present on the headstock tip. Overall, there are scratches, impact marks, and paint cracks, indicating normal wear from use.
The neck shows no noticeable issues and is in playable condition.
The front pocket clasp on the case is rusted and cannot be closed securely.
