A rare 1930 Gibson L-0 that epitomizes the dawn of the small-body era!

A 1930 Gibson L-0 has arrived. With factory number 9506, this is a very early model featuring a 12th-fret joint, with mahogany used for the top, sides, and back. It features a finish that highlights the natural mahogany grain, along with the classic “The Gibson” script logo characteristic of that era.As a model from the dawn of Gibson’s small-body era—which would later evolve into the L-00—it offers a unique presence born from the aged wood and finish that cannot be found in current models. This exceptionally rare and historically significant piece delivers the compact feel characteristic of a 12th-fret joint, along with the warm, woody sound of a mahogany body.
There are some dents and bulges near the top bridge.
Otherwise, it shows signs of wear consistent with its age.
All parts have been serviced, and the instrument is currently in good playing condition.
