The 2021 limited-edition signature bass by King Gnu bassist Kazuki Arai has arrived!
Based on the “Made in Japan Deluxe Jazz Bass V”—which was reissued in 2020—this model has been upgraded to reflect Arai’s vision and is a special, limited-edition instrument produced to commemorate Fender’s 75th anniversary.
The roasted maple neck, carefully selected rosewood fingerboard, and thin nitrocellulose lacquer finish maximize the resonance of the wood.
Equipped with 5th-generation Ultra Noiseless Vintage Jazz Bass pickups and the latest preamp, it prioritizes active circuitry while still pursuing the natural tone of a passive bass.
The original-shape grip, designed under his supervision, and the compact body deliver exceptional playability for a 5-string bass.
Color: Vintage Natural. This is a special edition model featuring a pickguard designed exclusively for this model and an original engraved neck plate.
(On this particular instrument, the original neck plate has been removed and replaced with a plain neck plate.)
It is in excellent condition, showing only minor scratches from normal use.
The neck shows no noticeable issues, and the instrument is in excellent playing condition.
