A well-preserved 1990s VanZandt guitar featuring a matching headstock that complements its pale, sun-kissed shell pink finish.

A 1996 VanZandt JBV-R2.Featuring the classic combination of an alder body, maple neck, and rosewood fingerboard, this guitar makes a bold statement with its custom “Shell Pink” finish and matching headstock. The rich resonance and excellent response from the ultra-thin nitrocellulose lacquer, along with the thick, natural tone produced by the hand-wound pickups, are hallmarks of this era. Combining the reliability of classic specifications with a unique sense of style in its coloring and appearance, this is an attractive instrument highly recommended for both players and collectors.
There is a paint crack near the neck pocket. The crack extends from the junction between the fingerboard and the neck on the first-string side of the neck’s slope to the junction on the fourth-string side, and has been glued. Since the string tension applies force in a direction that closes the crack, it does not affect playability.
Taking the above into account, the instrument is currently in good playing condition.
