USED Burny / MG-85X Yellow [11]

The Burny MG-85X, known as hide’s signature model.

It features a bolt-on maple neck with a rosewood fingerboard and 24 frets. Equipped with two humbucker pickups, it features a volume control, a 3-way selector switch, and a direct switch. This direct switch—a distinctive control unique to hide models—allows the pickup signal to be output directly, bypassing the volume circuit.

Finished in a vibrant yellow—a color rarely seen on the market—this is a guitar with a truly striking presence.
A Fender-style strap pin has been added to the center of the neck joint on the back.
The top plate of the volume knob is missing.
There are slight cracks and unevenness in the finish at the neck scarf joint.
There is a crack at the neck joint.
There is paint peeling and scuff marks at the cutaway and on the sides of the body. Stains and discoloration are visible on the sides of the fingerboard. Additionally, there are scattered scratches and dents, giving the instrument a slightly used appearance.
Significant fretting lift was observed, so the frets were re-glued at a repair center. Even after the repair, there are still some areas at the ends of the frets where a slight catch can be felt upon touch.
The neck shows localized reverse bowing from the nut to around the 1st fret, but this does not currently pose any issues for playing. The affected area is in a state where it is difficult to correct through truss rod adjustment.
