For customers residing in Japan
A Murphy Lab model designed to replicate the specifications and character of a 1959 Les Paul Standard.
Part of the Gibson Custom Shop’s renowned Historic Reissue series, this vintage-inspired guitar features a beautiful Sunrise Teaburst finish with an Ultra Light Aged treatment. Manufactured in 2025.

The body features the classic combination of mahogany with a figured maple top. It boasts a thick body shape inspired by the 1959 Les Paul, paired with a mahogany neck and rosewood fingerboard. The neck is shaped to vintage specifications, delivering the powerful tone and rich sustain that are hallmarks of the Les Paul.

It is equipped with Custombucker Alnico 3 pickups. These low-output humbuckers, inspired by vintage PAFs, offer a response that combines a thick, three-dimensional mid-low range with delicate picking nuances. In clean settings, you’ll enjoy a transparent, woody tone, while when driven, the sound retains a solid core and responsive character.

The finish is a deep Sunrise Teaburst. The combination with the beautiful maple top, which showcases the wood’s natural grain, is particularly striking. Furthermore, it has undergone Murphy Lab’s Ultra Light Aged treatment, which recreates the atmosphere of a vintage guitar that has stood the test of time—from the weathered check in the finish to the patina of the hardware. Since the Ultra Light Aged treatment is relatively subtle, it retains a nearly new appearance while still offering a natural vintage feel.

In terms of appearance, playability, and sound, this guitar stands apart from standard Les Paul models, showcasing the distinctive craftsmanship unique to the Custom Shop.

Visually, there are no particularly noticeable signs of wear or major damage, and the guitar appears to be in good overall condition. Please note that since the aged finish was originally applied by Murphy Lab, we are unable to determine with certainty whether any scratches or weather checking are the result of the aging process or have occurred subsequently.
There are no noticeable issues with the neck, and it plays well.
