For customers residing in Japan
The JUMBO J-60 has arrived.
This is a rare vintage Japanese guitar crafted by "Tahara Gakki," led by master luthier Ryohei Tahara, during the heyday of folk music in the 1970s. It was a high-end, mid-to-high-range model with a list price of 60,000 yen at the time (equivalent to about 200,000 yen based on today’s starting salary for college graduates). It features a solid spruce top, a rare solid rosewood back, and a fingerboard made of hard striped ebony. The body is thicker (approximately 12.5 cm deep) than a standard Dreadnought, and its "round-back construction"—with a gently arched back—gives it an overwhelming volume and deep bass resonance that surpasses even the original Martin.
Regarding its condition, there is some tarnish on the metal parts, and there are scattered scratches and dents throughout the body, with particularly noticeable scratches visible across the entire back of the body.
Additionally, the truss rod on the neck has been loosened to its limit, and there is evidence of reverse bowing, indicating significant wear from use.
Condition Grade: B: Shows significant wear and scratches, but is in good working condition for normal use
