For customers residing in Japan
A 2009 Custom Shop Telecaster has arrived.
This model is based on a '50s-style Telecaster and has been modified to feature an HS pickup configuration.

Based on the date stamp at the neck end indicating a 2009 build, and the fact that both the neck and body bear the same serial number, we have determined that the neck and body are from the same instrument. We believe the finish is original, but since the official color name is unknown, we have designated it as “Dakota Red,” a color that closely matches it.

With its thick one-piece maple neck, ash body, and black pickguard, this guitar is based on an early 1950s Telecaster. However, the tuners have been replaced with SPARZEL tuners, the front pickup has been replaced with a Duncan APH-2N, and the bridge pickup has been replaced with a Joe Barden Modern T. The front pickup cavity and pickguard have been enlarged to accommodate humbucker-sized pickups.

The bridge has been replaced with a modern-spec 6-saddle bridge, and all hardware is gold-plated.

The neck features a slightly straight-grained cut, with wood selection that lives up to the Custom Shop’s reputation; the extra-thick ’50s-style neck boasts high rigidity, and combined with the original jumbo frets, it produces a rich, satisfying resonance in the mid-to-low frequencies.

Although there is significant cosmetic wear and numerous modifications, thanks to the high-quality wood selection and precision craftsmanship unique to the Custom Shop, you can enjoy the ultimate Telecaster sound.
The “RELIC” engraving visible on both the body and neck indicates that it was pre-aged when new; however, the finish shows significant damage from self-aging.
Although there are many replaced parts, modifications, and signs of wear, the instrument has been fully maintained and cleaned at our repair center, and its playability is excellent.
