A 1959 Melody Maker 3/4 has arrived.
The Melody Maker was first released in 1959 as a student model. We’ve now received the first-year Melody Maker 3/4, which features a 22 3/4-inch short scale and was released around the same time as that model.

This 1959 model features a Les Paul-style design with a mahogany body that is 1 3/8 inches thick—thinner than the Les Paul Junior—and a mahogany neck with a rosewood fingerboard. The Les Paul-style model, in particular, was produced for only a short time and is a highly sought-after configuration.

Although the pickup cover is cracked, it is equipped with an original wide-size single-coil pickup.

The tuning machines, tailpiece, studs, strap pins, knobs, assemblies, and screws have been replaced; while it has low originality, it has been thoroughly adjusted and is in impeccable player’s condition. Overall, it shows signs of wear appropriate for its age—such as scratches, dents, weather checking, and paint peeling—but it’s a guitar that truly captures that vintage feel.

The frets have about 5% of their original depth remaining, the neck is in good condition, and the truss rod is adjustable.
