USED YAMAHA / SG-2000 Red Sunburst [12]

We’ve received a 1982 SG2000.
The SG was introduced in the mid-1970s as a Yamaha original model.
It features a 3-piece mahogany/maple through-neck construction, with mahogany body wings and a 3-piece maple body top.

Although it has two humbuckers, it does not feature the Bi-Sound System found on its sister models, the SG-1000 and SG-700; instead, it is characterized by a fat, long sustain, and a straightforward tone.
There are paint cracks and peeling on both sides of the nut, with the wood slightly exposed in some areas.
The cracks do not reach the wood, and we have determined that there are no durability issues in its current condition.
The neck has a slight waviness, but with the current setup, there is no muffling, and the guitar is playable.
There is some slight cloudiness visible within the finish on the back of the body.
One screw on the truss rod cover has been replaced.
Overall, there are scattered scratches and dents consistent with the instrument’s age, and the hardware shows some tarnish.
Although it shows some signs of use, it has been fully serviced and cleaned at our repair center, and playability is excellent.
