For customers residing in Japan
A special-spec CE24, custom-ordered by a music store, has arrived.
This is the 24-fret version of the CE (Classical Electric) series, which was added to the lineup in 1988 and is characterized by its bolt-on neck joint.
Although production was temporarily discontinued in 2009 and the model was reissued with revised specifications in 2016, this particular guitar was manufactured in 2009 and retains many of the original model’s specifications.

While CE models typically feature a maple top and mahogany back, this guitar uses a center-bookmatched two-piece ash body, giving it a sound character similar to the Swamp Ash Special released around the same time.

It features a standard-shaped maple neck with a rosewood fingerboard, and the use of rosewood for the headstock veneer, truss rod cover, and tuning machine buttons is a hallmark of this custom model.
As is characteristic of the older specifications, while the body has a polyurethane finish, the neck grip is finished with a matte lacquer, providing a pleasant feel and just the right amount of grip to reliably support fingering.

Since the curve of the body top is similar to that of the CUSTOM models, the three-dimensional arch of the body top and the depth of the recesses around the control knobs—compared to the current CE model—are also characteristic of the older specification.

The guitar is equipped with 57/08 Treble/Bass pickups inspired by vintage PAFs, delivering a modern classic sound in the PRS style.
Pulling up the tone knob engages the coil tap for each pickup, offering six distinct sound variations.

The back panel features Paul Reed Smith’s handwritten signature.
There is some slight fading along the outer edge of the body top, and the entire body has a slight yellowing due to age.
While there are some minor scratches and dents overall, the guitar shows minimal signs of wear and is in good condition.
It has been fully serviced and cleaned at our repair center, and playability is excellent.
