USED LUDWIG / NO. 2216 VISTALITE BLUE 14x5 [12]

A Vista Light from the '70s in excellent condition—though it shows signs of use—has just arrived!

Based on the serial number, this is believed to be a late-’70s VistaLite in blue.
Its striking appearance comes from the clear blue acrylic shell. As expected, this is the VISTALITE—a model every drummer dreams of owning.
In recent years, various companies have released models made from acrylic.
Acrylic is resistant to weather conditions, and its sound—which emphasizes the midrange—is highly valued for its compatibility with rock music.
Among these acrylic snares, the VISTALITE series is an absolute must-have. And since this one was made in the ’70s, it’s a model that truly helped shape a transitional period in the music scene.
The snare sound produced by the backbeat that underpinned countless classic songs continues to captivate many drummers to this day.

This particular drum has had its original hoops replaced with aftermarket steel hoops, and the inner mute has been removed.
Although the hoop seams have bulged slightly, there are no cracks or splits, and they are firmly bonded.
It can certainly be described as a “player’s condition” drum.

While it shows signs of use, age-related wear, and some scratches, it is still fully functional.
It is being sold as-is.
