The old SLG130NW model was discontinued, and this model has been remodeled and is now in the lineup.
The body is made of mahogany, which is also used in the SLG200S/SLG200N.
In addition, a neck shape similar to that of a standard classical guitar has been adopted to achieve a natural playing feel that meets the demands of serious classical guitar players! In addition, the use of an ebony fingerboard, which is now said to be a rare material, realizes a tight and clear sound, and the gold base plate attached to the pegs and the gloss-finished exterior give the guitar a high-grade, high-class feel.
The "SRT (Studio Resonance Technology) Powered" system, which is also used in the "SLG200S/SLG200N" and has been well received, is employed in the electrical section. The "SRT Powered" system applies acoustic processing to the signal from the piezo pickups to produce a high-quality acoustic sound as if it were recorded with a microphone by a top-notch engineer in a studio. In the SLG200NW, YAMAHA's classical guitar developers were also involved in sound creation in pursuit of a sound more suited to classical guitar players. The SLG200NW has a unique design without a resonant body, yet it delivers a deep and rich acoustic sound that expresses the resonance of the classical guitar body and the space where the guitar is being played.
The sound of the "SRT Powered" system can be blended with the sound of the piezo pickup in any desired ratio, allowing for a wide range of sound creation to suit the player's preferences.
In addition to being highly quiet due to its unique design without a resonance body, the instrument is highly portable because the left frame can be removed for compact storage in a dedicated case that comes with the instrument. This makes it possible to take the instrument not only into the room, but also out and about, allowing the user to enjoy playing anywhere and at any time.
The preamplifier is also equipped with three built-in effects, including reverb, and a tuner, as well as an AUX IN jack for connection to portable music players and other devices, and a LINE OUT jack for connection to amplifiers and PA systems, providing highly convenient specifications.
