Knaggs Guitarss was founded in 2009 by Joe Knaggs, former private stock builder for Paul Reed Smith.
Mr. Joe Knaggs, a former Paul Reed Smith private stock builder, launched this brand in 2009.

Ishibashi Gakki Store produced this model when it was a distributor!
The first unveiling was at the Tokyo Guitar Show.
At that time, about 10 Choptank Tier 2 Trems were produced, including only 6 in Winter Solstice finish.
One of the six was owned by Mr. Kon, so only five were sold, making it a very valuable model.

At the time, Choptank was not equipped with a tremolo arm, but at Mr. Kon's request, a tremolo arm was mounted.
This model is still used in live performances.
As a Tsuyoshi Kon Signature, there is Kon's logo on the truss rod cover.

The body is made of book-matched top quality flame maple and 3-piece alder back.
It has a Telecaster-like body, but the elbow and back contour make it easy to hold and play.

Flamed maple neck.
Fingerboard is made of cocobolo wood with star inlay.

The joint between the neck and body is the most important part to note.
The joint is beautifully made, reminiscent of the tip of a ship, and is entirely done by hand.

Pickups are Seymour Duncan APS-1 x3.
The rear pickups and the integrated plate are connected to the tremolo system by a butterfly plate.
The tremolo also moves without any force on the first string side, allowing for smooth arming.

Controls are 1Vol/2Tone 5Way.
The pickguard is made of cocobolo wood.
The parts are all gold.
The jack is usually a cat eye jack plate, but since this is a Signature Model, it is a 4-point metal plate.

There are some scratches, dents, and scuffs on the pickguard, but the neck is currently straight, and there is plenty of room for both frets and truss rod.

This is a very rare model.

ジョー・ナッグス 氏が立ち上げた2009年に立ち上げたブランドでございます。

石橋楽器店が代理店だった頃に製作したモデル!
初めてのお披露目は、Tokyo Guitar Show
この時の、Choptank Tier 2 Trem 製作本数は、10本程で、中でもこちらの Winter Solsticeフィニッシュは6本のみ。
その中の1本は今さんがお持ちなので、5本のみの販売となり、大変貴重なモデルとなっております。

当時、Choptankにはトレモロアームが装備されておりませんでしたが、今さんの要望から、トレモロアームをマウント。
今でもライブなどで活躍が見られるモデルとなっております。
Tsuyoshi Kon Signatureとして、トラスロッドカバーにKonさんの ロゴ有り

ボディは、ブックマッチの極上フレイムメイプルトップに、3ピースアルダーバック。
テレキャスターボディっぽさがあるが、エルボー部分、バックコンターで、抱えやすく、弾きやすい作りとなっております。

ネックは、フレイムメイプルネック。
フィンガーボードは、ココボロ材　インレイは、スターインレイ。

注目していただきたいのは、ネックとボディのジョイント部分。
船の先端を思わせる美しいジョイントになっており、全て手作業で行われております。

ピックアップは、セイモア・ダンカンAPS-1 ×3
リアピックアップと一体型のプレートには、蝶板式になっており、トレモロシステムと連結しております。
トレモロも、1弦側に力が入ること無く全体が動くので、スムーズなアーミングが可能となっております。

コントロールは、1Vol/2Tone 5Way
ピックガードにも拘りが見え、ココボロ材が使用されております。
パーツはゴールドで統一されております。
ジャック部分は、通常キャッツアイジャックプレートですが、Signature Modelという事も有り、4点止めのメタルプレートとなっております。

ピックガード弾き傷、細かな打痕、擦り傷はございますが、ネックは現状ストレートで、フレット/トラスロッド共に余裕あり。

非常に数の少ないモデルでございます。
