USED GIBSON / 1960 Hummingbird Fixed Bridge [03]

Made at the Bozeman, Montana, USA factory in 2024, this reissue of the Hummingbird was Gibson's first square-shoulder release in 1960.
Featuring a thermally aged Sitka spruce top, the sound and finish of the 1960 Hummingbird are enough to evoke the look and playing of a musician of iconic status at the time. It has a fixed bridge and is painstakingly finished with a thin-finish lacquer coating and hand-applied VOS.

The sound is bright, soft, and clean, and the whole instrument vibrates well. It has a bright sound with a rustic, boxy feel that is typical of Hummingbird.
It has a distinctive sound not only as an accompaniment guitar for singing, but also in single-note playing and solo guitar styles.

The pickguard is peeling at the edges, and there are some minor scratches and dings that are typical of used guitars, but it retains a clean appearance. The truss rod has about 90 degrees of leeway in the tightening direction, and the string height is about 2.6mm at the 12th fret of the 6th string and about 2.0mm at the 12th fret of the 1st string.
The neck is in proper condition with almost no fret wear and excellent playability.
This is a highly recommended used guitar in very fresh condition.
