USED Martin / 0-18 1947 [05]

We are pleased to announce the arrival of a 1947 Martin 0-18.

Among the Martin models, the "0 (single O)" shape 18 grade has a long history, having been introduced in the 1850's. This is a very attractive model that you would want to own, with its grainy sound and comfortable playability.
With its grainy sound and comfortable playability, this model is full of charm and makes you want to own one.

The model we have just received is a 1947 "post-war" model.
As you know, the war ended in 1945, but even the victorious countries were still greatly affected by the war and did not have abundant resources.

Due to the lack of resources, the specifications of the pre-war period were changed from 1945, and in the post-war period, tapered bracing and rear-shifted X-bracing were adopted, and herringbone decoration was discontinued on some models.
Although it cannot be denied that the sound has changed along with the specification changes, many players may find Martin's typical well-balanced sound appealing.

Although it is often compared to the pre-war period, this instrument also has a mellow vintage sound because enough time has passed since its production.
The body is in relatively new condition, and there is no denying the possibility of refinishing. The neck has been refinished.

The bridge (lowered by string height adjustment) and nut replacement, bridge pin replacement, pickguard replacement, peg replacement, fret replacement, neck reset, fingerboard correction, binding adhesion correction, and bracing adhesion correction have been done.
The bridge may have been replaced along with the bridge plate, as it is in very clean condition.

This vintage 0-18 is small, easy to handle, and has a habitual sound.
