USED Epiphone / FT-79 Inspired by 1964 Texan Vintage Cherry Sunburst [2011]

This is the Epiphone FT-79 Inspired by the 1964 Texan.

The Texan is a round-shouldered acoustic guitar that traces its roots back to the Model F.T.79 and was introduced in 1958. It was produced until around 1970 and has since been reissued in limited editions.The original Texan was used and cherished by famous musicians such as Paul McCartney, Peter Frampton, and Noel Gallagher. It is particularly well-known that Paul McCartney used a 1964 Texan when recording The Beatles’ “Yesterday,” and he has continued to use it on stage ever since.

This model is a reissue based on the 1964 TEXAN. The body features a solid top and back, with spruce for the top and mahogany for the back. It is equipped with three white button tuners and a strap pin mounted on the heel, and features an electro-acoustic configuration with a SHADOW NanoFlex/sound-hole Sonic PreAmp system.

There are signs of use (minor scratches, scuffs, wear marks, wipe marks, picking marks, slight warping around the bridge, tarnish, pitting, and rust on metal parts and screws, and other cosmetic damage). The zipper pull on the case is broken.

Set up upon arrival (cleaning, string replacement, truss rod adjustment); the frets are at a height suitable for playing, and the truss rod has been tested to 60 degrees in both directions with no issues.
