This 1995 Custom-spec 000-42 is a tribute to the guitar used by Eric Clapton on MTV's Unplugged in 1992. It features an appearance reminiscent of pre-War products, such as the old decal logo, snowflake inlays starting at the 5th fret, and long saddles. The nut width is approximately 43 mm, with a V-shaped neck, square rods, and Waverly tuners.

The pickguard has been replaced with a Tortis one, and the end pins are missing. It is hard to tell, but some weather checking has occurred in some areas. Some shallow dings, light scratches and abrasions can be seen, but are not noticeable. The binding on the body has been repaired and the binding on the back has been replaced at the heel of the neck. The paint on the top of the bridge is partially peeling.
The neck is in fair condition. The frets are slightly dented in the low position, but this does not interfere with playing. The height remains around 70% on average. The saddle has been shaved and the string height at the 12th fret is set up low, about 2.4mm on the 6th string side and about 1.7mm on the 1st string side. Playability is perfect.
The sound is excellent, and finger picking gives a pleasantly comped feel, while playing with a pick gives a sense of dynamics and deep resonance that is hard to believe for such a small size. There are some signs of use and repairs, but there is no noticeable damage, and the guitar is in relatively good condition for a guitar that is 30 years old. We recommend this guitar.
