The 2014 Gibson Historic Collection 1959 Les Paul Standard Hand Selected has arrived!!

The Historic Collection is constantly being updated and crafted to achieve an even more authentic vintage look.
A key feature of the 2014 model is the use of hide glue—which was introduced for neck bonding in 2013—for the fingerboard as well.
The specifications have been updated to take the guitar even closer to a vintage feel than the previous year’s model.

The model we’ve just received is a hand-selected model chosen by our dealer staff, featuring a maple top with a stunning grain pattern.

It is equipped with Custom Buckers.
These pickups—which pay even closer homage to the original PAF than the traditional Burstbackers—can be considered the company’s ultimate PAF clone.

The nut has been replaced by all previous owners. Additionally, the back panel features an autograph.
The pickups and capacitors are original.

Furthermore, cracks inside the control knobs caused by aging and the reddish aniline dye seeping into the binding—along with the VOS finish—combine with the aged parts to make this an instrument with even greater character.

Many of the accessories included with the instrument when it was new are present, including the genuine hard case, certificate of authenticity, hand-select certificate, Pre-Pack Checklist, and back panel.
