This model was highly popular because it was designed and manufactured without compromising on authentic sound or Gibson’s signature finish, even while omitting the pickup covers, binding, crown logo, and block inlays that were standard on the Standard model at the time.
Since it was manufactured over 15 years ago, it shows signs of wear commensurate with its age—such as peeling plating on metal parts, scratches across the body, and some paint chipping—but it is in perfect playing condition.
There are some cracks in the finish at the neck joint and on the back of the headstock base, but these do not affect the wood and the guitar plays perfectly fine.
