John Cruise's 1961 ST Super Heavy Relic Now in Stock!

We have received a 2009 1961 Stratocaster crafted by John Cruise, former Senior Master Builder at the Fender USA Custom Shop. (It features a fingerboard made of Madagascar rosewood, which has become a rare material.)
The body color is a three-color sunburst, modeled after a guitar featured in the “Norman’s Rare Guitars 30th Anniversary” vintage guitar photo book published in the 2000s. (The guitar on the right side of page 39; details are listed on the order specification sheet.)
The overall finish is a Super Heavy Relic.
Although the metal hardware shows significant wear, rust buildup is minimal, and adjustments such as string action remain functional.
Abigail Ibarra, hailed as the “Queen of Tone”(Abigail Ybarra, who joined Fender in 1956 and retired in 2013, has been involved in pickup manufacturing since the era of founder Leo Fender and is the legendary Fender Pickup Master Winder) hand-wound the 60s vintage ST pickups, and you can see her handwritten signature and the date (7-17-09) on them.
The actual manufacturing dates are inscribed in various cavities and on the neck end. (Bottom of neck end: 7-09; Body neck pocket: 6-09)
You can also sense a playful touch in the vintage-style date markings. (Side of neck end: 7-61; Body back spring cavity: 6/61)
