A 2020 Fender American Ultra Telecaster in Mocha Burst has arrived!
Launched as the successor to the American Elite series, the American Ultra series was positioned as the top-of-the-line model in the regular U.S.-made lineup at the time. While preserving the traditional Telecaster style, it offers exceptional playability and functionality tailored to modern playing environments.
It features an alder body paired with a maple neck and maple fingerboard, and the neck features a Modern “D” shape with a moderate shoulder. With rolled edges, 22 medium-jumbo frets, a smooth back-of-neck finish, and a tapered neck heel, it offers comfort for everything from chord work to lead playing in the higher registers.
It is equipped with Ultra Noiseless Vintage Tele pickups. The front pickup delivers a warm, clear sound with a solid core, while the rear pickup offers the sharp attack and crisp twang characteristic of a Telecaster, all while producing a practical tone that minimizes the noise typical of single-coil pickups.
The center position produces a lively, wide-ranging blended tone, and pressing the S-1 switch built into the volume knob switches both pickups to a series connection. This delivers a thick, powerful sound with enhanced low-to-midrange response and increased output compared to the standard setting.
The 6-saddle brass bridge allows for fine-tuning of each string, and combined with the locking tuners, ensures precise setup and excellent practicality. The contoured body back also makes it comfortable to hold.
While there are some fine scratches, wipe marks, and picking marks on the pickguard, the instrument is in excellent condition with virtually no signs of wear.
