USED Fender Japan / STR-75R Cherry Sunburst [11]

A Modern ST from the PRO-FEEL series released by Fender Japan in the late 1980s.
This guitar’s appeal lies in its distinctive specs, typical of that era.

The body is made of laminated poplar with a bird’s-eye maple veneer, paired with a maple neck and a rosewood fingerboard. It features a humbucker pickup in the bridge position, along with a modern 1980s design that diverges from vintage styles—such as the EX-TREMOLO TRAIN bridge and a heel-cut neck joint. The 5-way selector switch is configured so that the bridge pickup is coil-tapped when the center and bridge positions are mixed, allowing you to enjoy different sounds in each position.
The serial number is faded and difficult to read, so the year of manufacture could not be determined.

There are signs that the front pickup, jack, selector switch, and internal wiring have been replaced. Additionally, the pickup manufacturer and model numbers are unknown.
An additional battery compartment has been installed, but the snap fastener is missing, and the connection point cannot be verified.

The back panel is missing.
There are cracks visible beneath the pickguard, on the side wall between the rear pickup and the bridge cutout, and near the first string. A metal reinforcement plate has been attached to the bridge anchor area; currently, this does not interfere with the instrument’s playability.
The tension bar on the high-string side is bent in the direction of pressure.
Overall, there are scratches, dents, and signs of rust on the metal, but there is no excessively noticeable damage.
There are no noticeable abnormalities with the neck, and it is in good playing condition.
Condition Grade: B+: Some scratches are present, but the instrument is suitable for normal use.
