The SG-2 (renamed from the S-201), Yamaha’s first electric guitar, was released in 1966.
Featuring a design brimming with originality—from its asymmetrical body shape and headstock to the pickups, tuning pegs, bridge, tremolo, and control knobs—this model captivates with its distinctive form, complete with a zero fret.
Combining cutting-edge aesthetics and advanced craftsmanship, this highly refined instrument—though often categorized as “Japan Bizarre”—laid the foundation for subsequent models.

There are dents and scratches on the back of the body caused by a buckle, and there are several small dents with indentations across the entire body.
There are fine scratches and small dents throughout the instrument.

Condition Grade: B+: Some scratches are present, but the instrument is suitable for normal use.
