Based on the standard RSP20, the RSP20X features a distinctive look with gold body binding, racing stripes, and a satin gold aluminum pickguard. It’s a striking instrument, combining a sleek body design inspired by café racers with the understated, refined “Rusty Brass Charcoal” finish.
The body, which combines a maple top with a chambered two-piece mahogany back, features chambering based on Yamaha’s proprietary acoustic analysis process, “Acoustic Design.”
This achieves a rich tone and excellent weight balance.
Carbon fiber is inserted into both the body and the three-piece mahogany neck to increase rigidity, resulting in a sound that is focused, pleasant, and well-balanced.
It is equipped with two VH5 humbuckers, developed exclusively by Yamaha.
Building on a high-quality, full-bodied humbucker sound, positions 2 and 4 of the 5-position selector switch produce a light, easy-to-play sound reminiscent of the half-tone of a 3-single-coil guitar.
The master tone control is equipped with a push/pull Focus switch.
Pulling the switch upward emphasizes the mid-low frequencies, switching to a thick, aggressive tone with increased power.

While there is some slight discoloration and minor rust on the parts, the overall condition is good, with only minor scratches and small dents.
